Park Manor 75: NOF Feature in Greater Grand Crossing

Park Manor 75 is a a wine and charcuterie bar owned by husband-and-wife team Jacare Thomas and Charlette Stanton. The menu will feature wines and liquors fermented and distilled by Black-owned businesses. Opening Park Manor is the realization of their dream to create a place on the South Side of Chicago that embodies culture, sophistication, and community.
Neighborhood Opportunity Fund Impact
To support the buildout of Park Manor 75, Jacare and Charlette received a $250,000 Neighborhood Opportunity Fund (NOF) grant. The funding was put toward pre-construction costs, demolition, buildout costs (framing, insulation, drywall), electrical, plumbing, HVAC improvements, as well as exterior façade improvements and security system.
Per Block Club Chicago:
“I hope that the neighborhood knows that we’re serious about building something that’s warm, beautiful and welcoming for all of our neighbors,” Stanton said. “We’re ready to rock and roll. We’re ready to let people become exposed to who we are as a couple, who we are as business owners and what we believe that neighborhoods like ours should expect from future businesses coming into the corridor.”
