Krimson Security & Fingerprinting: SomerCor SBA 504 Loan Feature
Safe and secure: For Sergeant First Class Ryan Kern, a U.S Army veteran, keeping communities safe has always been more than a job – it’s a calling. After serving as a military police officer and later working as a private detective and security consultant, Kern founded Krimson Security & Fingerprinting Inc. (Krimson) to fulfill his entrepreneurial vision of providing professional safety and security services.
What began as a modest fingerprinting business in Westmont, Illinois in 2013 has grown into a full-scale protective services company. Today, Krimson offers a wide range of security, investigation, and safety training programs. The business serves communities throughout the region including Bolingbrook, Gurnee, and Oak Park.
SBA 504 Building Purchase
Krimson’s sustained growth required a larger facility for its operations. Partnering with SomerCor on a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 504 loan, Kern was able to purchase a 7,100 square foot facility in North Aurora. The customized headquarters include administrative offices, dedicated training areas, and enhanced customer-service space. Owning his building with an SBA 504 loan reduced Kern’s monthly occupancy costs compared to paying rent. Even more importantly, Krimson’s expansion created five full-time jobs.
“Krimson was built on respect and quality service, so we wanted to work with people who held the same values. SomerCor was the obvious choice for us,” said Kern. “We’re so grateful to have had such a great experience with them, and we thank them for helping us keep our communities safe.”
SomerCor is proud and honored to support entrepreneurs who served our country. Krimson is also the first participant in SomerCor’s VetLoan Advantage program, which covers the cost of a a borrower’s Third-Party Lender fee up to $3,000.
