SBIF Grant Impact (Woodlawn)

Fruitful Delight serves fresh, fruit filled smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and healthy eats – including açaí bowls, salads, breakfast items, wraps, tacos, kabobs and sandwiches.

In 2024 owner Robin Petty applied for a SBIF grant to cover building renovation costs at her newest location in Woodlawn.

The scope of work included: new framing, drywall, tiling, painting, electrical upgrades, plumbing and HVAC work.

Learn More About the Small Business Improvement Fund

Launched in 1999, Chicago’s Small Business Improvement Fund promotes economic development by providing reimbursement grants for permanent building improvement. Landlords, owner/operators, and tenants (with landlord approval) are eligible to apply. Residential projects are not eligible.
