SBDCs – Free Resources for Entrepreneurs to Start, Sustain, and Scale up

Business owners – especially those at the start of their journey – wear many hats. From managing the books, to hiring employees, to serving clients, entrepreneurs are busy. A partner program of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) are hosted by universities, colleges, state economic development agencies, and private sector organizations. Their mission is to help start, sustain, and scale up small businesses.

There are approximately 1000 SBDCs nationwide, providing free resources to entrepreneurs at all stages of business growth. SBDCs deliver individualized business advising and technical assistance related to access capital and technology integration. They also specialize in programs related to business planning, strategy, operations, financial management, personnel administration, marketing, export assistance, sales, and other areas to support increased productivity and innovation.

Ready to connect with an SBDC? Visit sba.gov/sbdc or select your state below to find the SBDC nearest you! SomerCor is proud to partner with the SBA to serve small businesses through the SBA 504 program in Illinois, Northwest Indiana, Southeast Wisconsin.
