For over 80 years, Helander has been a major partner to a variety of Fortune 500 companies and small businesses, providing them with metal forming and fabricating services. The business has been led by the Ibrahim family since 1979, and owned and operated by Sam Ibrahim Jr. since 2015.
Their niche is forming cylindrically shaped parts up to 100 inches in diameter in all types of metals and production quantities. The company specializes in metal forming, spinning and hydroforming, and serves customers in the aerospace, medical, automotive, commercial food equipment and construction industries.
Six SBA 504 Projects with SomerCorÂ
Over the last decade, the company has grown, in large part to aerospace and food equipment industry clients. Helander has expanded operations from a single location, to three – totaling 80,000 square feet. Helander has partnered with SomerCor on five funded SBA 504 loans covering commercial real estate and equipment, and another is in progress to purchase additional equipment. The total project size for all six loans amounts to over $23 million in financing.
