Founded in 1972, Fischer Paper Products is a third generation family business in Antioch, IL. They manufacture and supply high-quality, food-safe paper products for well-known foodservice brands like US Foods, Sysco Foodservice, Restaurant Depot, Tyson Foods, In-N-Out Burger, and Panda Express.
After nearly 50 years in business, Fischer Paper Products is a valued member of the business community in Lake County and seen as a leader in the region’s growing manufacturing sector.
SBA 504 New Construction Project with SomerCor
Fischer currently employs over 100 people and projects growth will increase its workforce 20 percent each year for the foreseeable future. This anticipated growth and the desire to streamline operations all under one roof led company president, Josh Fischer, and his business banker to pursue the SBA 504 program. They teamed up with SomerCor to access fixed long-term financing for the ground-up construction of a new headquarters.
“The decision to go with a 504 loan was a no-brainer,” said Fischer. “We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to lock in a significant portion of our debt for 25 years at a rate below 3%. The short and long term financial benefits of those terms are just tremendous for our growing business. Even with the merging of corporate, manufacturing, and warehouse functions in one place, the new location provides the company with an additional 60,000 square feet to grow. Plus, the newly constructed 162,000 square foot building is state-of-the art and personalized to company specifications.
