SomerCor, a Chicago-based Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified Development Company, received a $50,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago (FHLBank Chicago). These funds were part of over $900,000 awarded through the Community First Capacity-Building Grant Program to 21 nonprofit lenders.

The purpose of the FHLBank Chicago grant program is to invest in nonprofit lenders, like SomerCor, that serve the capital needs of small businesses across all communities throughout Illinois and Wisconsin.
